Are you ready to smith and sip?
Learn the art of jewellery making while enjoying a tasty grazing plater and refreshments of tea, soft drink or wine (no booze before using fire though!)
We use solid sterling silver for our hooks and you can choose from either sterling silver or copper for the textured part of your earring.
Skills covered in this workshop:
- Learning about annealing and why it is important
- Choosing your own embossing material
- Roll printing your metal
- Punching discs
- Hand drilling
- Oxidising
- Emerying and finishing
There will be a variety of die options available to use at the workshop, but you are definitely encouraged to bring your own if you prefer. Let your imagination run wild!
NB: this is a less intensive workshop and is suitable for people of all artistic skill levels. If you are looking for a more challenging workshop where you can learn more about the processes involved in jewellery manufacture, check out the 4 hour version of this workshop.
*This workshop has a maximum capacity of 6 people and will only proceed with a minimum of 3 participants. Please be aware that if not enough tickets are sold by the day before the workshop date I will need to reschedule your attendance.
Each Shanyn Linklater Jewellery piece is hand made to order in our Lakes Entrance smithy. As such, slight variances from product photographs may occur. We think it’s this uniqueness that makes our jewellery so special.
Manufacturing time is usually less than two weeks but may be longer during busy times.
If you would like your piece by a certain date, like a special occasion, let us know via the contact page and we will do our best to get your piece out to you in time.
